One Week Old

It's hard to believe, but Lucy is just over one week old now. Besides being masters at swaddling, mom/dad have also mastered diapers - changing 80+ diapers in just seven days! Our first delivery of clean cloth diapers ran out on Sunday and the next delivery wasn't scheduled to arrive until today (Tuesday)... good thing we had left over newborn huggies from the hospital. Needless to say, she's a good eater. Lucy has met lots of people in her first week in the world including all three great grandparents and great great aunt; and when she's not sleeping, she's paying close attention to the presidential primaries.

Lucy Comes Home

After two nights in the hospital, the family geared up for the long drive home, which took all of five minutes. Scout (the dog) finally gets to meet his little sister, and Lucy gets a first glimpse of her new home! Grandma Miriam stayed with us for two nights to help around the house which was very nice.

And Then There Were Three...

It was 05:10 on Martin Luther King Jr. Day (01-21-08) when Lucille Addison Myers made her grand appearance. After 12 hours of labor at the hospital and one epidural later -- yes, after 7 cm dialated, Laura called the anestgesiology to room 706 for some relief -- Lucy joined the "petite" Myers family weighing in at 6lbs 12oz and 19" long. Everyone is doing well, and mom/dad are very excited to be a family of three now! We hope you enjoy the pics below and come back for future updates.
