Easter is Early This Year

It's crazy to think that just a year ago (Easter, which was in April), mom and dad moved from sunny San Francisco to rainy Seattle with no house, no dog, and no baby. This Easter, they had all three. Mark's cousin Ryan and his wife Jamin came into town to spend the night/day with us and talk baby...they are due in May with their first! Lucy showed them what it's really like having a baby in the house by spitting up and crying lots that night. Easter was spent at grandma/pa Brown's and the rain didn't keep them from having the annual easter egg hunt for the kiddies (next year Lucy will be a definite competitor). Happy Easter everyone.

All Smiles From Lucy

Lucy is all smiles these days now that she's figured out how to on her own doing. She spent time with her aunt Heather last weekend and rode her first ferry over to Kingston and back. She slept most of the time (mom was thankful) in her Orbit stroller with the paperazzi shield down and we only got asked once "how does she breathe in there" hmm... Lucy also met her future boyfriend or maybe just future BF, William, who was born on March 18 at Stevens Hospital just like her.

Aunt Dana Comes to Town

Lucy's aunt Dana (Mark's sister) came to town this last weekend to meet her for the first time in person - although, they have met many times via web video conferencing since she was born. Funny to think that Lucy will not know life without the web! Lucy is seven weeks today, almost two months old!

Day in the Life of Lucy

Lucy typically sleeps through the night and when we say "through the night", we mean with one or two feedings and diaper changings along with that sleep. Most mornings Lucy gets up around 9am and starts her day with a nice big breakfast. Next, she goes on her daily walk with Scout (and mom) to Zu Cafe, an organic coffee shop in downtown Edmonds. Lucy just loves Edmonds :) When we arrive back home, she is normally snoring loudly and when she wakes will be more than ready for lunch. In the afternoon Lucy spends lots of time on her tummy, plays in her crib, and then [usually] takes a late afternoon nap giving mom a few minutes to get some things done around the house. Dad gets off the train (the Seattle Sounder) around 5:30pm and is home shortly after to spend some QT with Lucy before dinner. In the evenings, Lucy prefers to be held lots and eat lots, dozing off here and there before heading into a deep sleep around 11pm. And then the cycle starts all over...
