Change Happens Quickly
Every week (and maybe even day) Lucy learns something new. Everything she can get her hands on goes in the mouth. She just discovered she has feet/toes and this keeps her happy for at least a 1/2 hour....haha. She loves watching Scout and touching her mom/dad's faces. She went on her first boat ride to Kingston on Memorial Day Weekend and although at first didn't like the life jacket, fell asleep within mintues of starting to cruise.

Happy Mother's Day
It's mid-May and we have lots to celebrate: 1st mother's day, Spring finally arriving in Seattle, the start of the local Edmonds Saturday market, and Lucy's 4 month doctor's appointment. She's in the 95% in weight at 15 lbs and 97% in height at 26". We're not sure where she gets the height from....all in all, she's a healthy little girl.

Derby Day at the Myers
On Saturday, the Myers held their first annual Derby Day Party (as in Kentucky Derby). This year was a trial run (a small gathering) and based on the success, there will definitely be second. Start looking now for your Derby attire...next year there will be more mint juleps, bourbon balls, and derby pie; a "red carpet" runway; hat decorating station; and everyone's favorite, more options for betting. Lucy spent most of her time with Will playing on the floor. Hope you enjoy some of the pics below.

Everyone On Board
Two weekends ago, Lucy took her first train trip (and first overnight trip) to Portland, OR to visit her aunt Heather. Her mom, dad, and grandma Karen walked to the train station from their home in Edmonds and after 4.5 hours arrived in DT Portland. Lucy decided since she was already covering a lot of "firsts" on this trip, so she thought she'd one more -- rolling over -- and rolled over a few times from her tummy to her back during the weekend away. Lucy also met a new friend, Beck, while she was out of town.
Today, Lucy is 14 weeks old.

The Zoo
Lucy went to the Seattle Woodland Park Zoo for the first time last week... and she slept through all of it, from the time she got in the car to the time we arrived back home. She went with her mom, aunt Sarah, and cousins Parker and Taylor. Dad left town (overnight) for the first time last week for work and everyone survived ;-) A few weeks ago, Lucy saw Horton Hears a Who at the local Edmonds theater - it was filled with kids of all ages! Lucy is now 12 weeks old and doing great.

April Showers
It's bath time at least once a week for Lucy and she takes turn drying off in her beautiful flower towel, fun monkey towel, and crazy polka dot towel. Oh - so fun (can't you tell by her face). She's been visting her boyfriend Will (Misty/Steve's little one) up the street lots and getting to see her cousin Sadie and Aunt Sarah at least once a week so her mom can go to a weekly John L. Scott Real Estate meeting. Yes, her mom is now a certified WA state real estate agent. Lucy slept for 6 hours the other night - the longest stretch at one time so far, hopefully a sign of things to come. She's found her fingers...not quite her thumb (yet).
