Merry Christmas

We had a wonderful time in Tahoe/Northstar for Christmas this year. Santa was good to the girls: a pink scooter for Lucy and a "learn to walk" shopping cart for Betsy! Lucy met a new friend Teo and his newborn sister, Sienna (The Newell Family), we played in the snow, built a huge snowman, the adult kids skied, and the grandparents got lots of bonding time with the kiddos! Now, on to 2011 and birthday season at our house.

Ho Ho Ho

Visited Santa in downtown Edmonds...in picture below Lucy, William, Betsy, and Addison. Don't be fooled by the smile on Lucy's face, she would NOT sit on his lap, only grab the candy cane! Betsy reacted just like Lucy did the last two years. So much fun.

Already December

Lucy is counting up each day until Christmas with a single jelly bean each day. She recently wrote a letter to Santa asking him for a scooter for Christmas, wonder if he'll come through! December has been a busy month already...Apple Cup party at Aunt Penny/Uncle John's place with tons of sledding, downtown Seattle trip to ride the merry-go-round and see the lights, celebrating the season with good friends (The Alseths) and having the kids exchange gifts (Lucy loves her new Uke), and a trip to Swanson's Nursery to see the reindeer. I told the girls they could not be sick the week between Christmas and New Years (which has been a tradition so far), so of course, they both have had colds now in early December :( Lucy is also playing some indoor soccer with her dad on late Friday afternoons!

Happy Thanksgiving

Woke up early, watched the Macy's parade with the girls while Mark played snowball (flag football in the snow) - highlights in the parade were the Mickey balloon and Dora on the float. Lucy also asked if Santa was real and what color his eyes were...too funny. We had a great feast that afternoon at G'pa Lon and G'ma Sally's house...I think I counted 28 people in total!

First Snow

We got our first snow of the season and it was so much fun! Lucy is ready for Tahoe and so is Scout - too bad he's not coming. The [new/used] Thule is on the car waiting to be used and Mark can't wait to use it. Betsy is officially crawling and now crawling up the stairs...definitely keeping us on our toes!

Halloween 2010

We had a great Halloween this year and Lucy had SO much fun! Started with an annual chilli feed at the Shanahan's and all the kiddos (see large group), then on to the Edmonds downtown trick-or-treating, and ended with a stop at the Alseth's and hitting a few houses in the neighborhood! Candy was a big hit for Lucy and Betsy couldn't have been happier watching the world go by in her stroller the whole night.
